Andover runs 2nd

 

Andover's girls track team finished second at the State relays yesterday, fueled by first places in the long jump, shot out, shuttle hurdle relays. Jill Gamache and Hannah Chapman were on both the long jump and shuttle relays. Andover placed in seven events overall.

Strong showing for Pentucket tracksters

Lexi Kitsakos placed first in the high jump (5-2) and fourth in the 200 (26.23) to help Pentucket to a sixth place finish in the 36-team Division 3 state meet, at Oliver Ames High School (North Easton). Becca Morse finished second in the two-mile with a time of 11:26.59.

Pentucket freshman Ali Attenasio vaulted 9-0, crushing her personal best of 7-6, to take first at the Division 3 pole vault competition. Fellow Sachem Vicky Castiglione (8-6) was fourth.

Chioma Ngwudo won the discus and shot put to lead Phillips to a convincing win at the New England Prep Division 1 Championships. Jamie Shenk ( javelin) and Orie Idah (triple jump) and the 4x100 and 4x400 relays also brought home the gold.
