Oyster River ousted Sanborn in the Division 2 quarterfinals, 4-1. For the Indians, Evan Burke had the goal, his fourth of the season, on Max Lussier's sixth assist of the fall. Nate Talarico was busy in net with 17 saves.

Dylan Khalil had another monster day to lead Sanborn boys hoop to a 72-58 win over Oyster River. The talented junior drilled seven 3s and finished with 29 points, as the Indians (7-8) drew closer to .500.

Ellen McGough was simply on fire Friday night, draining six 3s and finishing with 21 points to lead Sanborn to a 44-23 win over Oyster River.

Ahead 38-31 entering teh fourth quarter, Timberlane's girls held on for a 44-41 victory — their second of the season. Autum Brooks led the Owls with 11 points.

Jake Dumont scored a career-high 23 points with seven 3-pointers to lead Pelham to a comfortable 74-51 win over Oyster River. Justin Paul scored 14 points and Derek Crowley added 14 points and 11 assists.

The Pelham girls basketball team got scoring from nine different players — led by McKenna Williams (12) and Lili Rutherford (11) — to earn a 57-32 win over Oyster River.

Madison Houghton scored 13 points to lead the Sanborn girls to their first win, 51-26 over Oyster River.

Sophomre Maddy Houghton scored a career high 23 points and Grace Merry-Carreiro, another sophomore, added 10 as Sanborn blitzed Oyster River, 52-28. Oyster River has a better record (8-7 to 8-9) and beat Sanborn in the season opener, 49-48.

Sanborn's Kaylen LaChapelle won the 55 hurdles (9.84) and long jump (16-1.25) and was second in the high jump (5-0) at a New Hampshire multi-meet.

HOLLIS — Sanborn sophomore Dylan Khalil opened his season on a high note, placing first overall at the Coach Korcoulis Invitational in Hollis.

Khalil crossed the line in the 5K race in 17:23, five second ahead of runner-up Brandon Langdon of John Stark. Khalil's classmate Owen Stocker was fifth in 17:53.7.
