After dropping the second game, Whittier's volleyball team regrouped and came back strong strong to defeat North Shore 25-18, 25-13 in the next two games to wrap up its 10th win of the season. Josie Sanchez had 13 kills to lead the way up front. Destiny Alicea had three aces among her 12 service points.

A nine-run first inning did in Greater Lawrence, falling to a strong North Shore team, 11-1, in a game shortened to five innings due to poor field conditions. Shabeli Villa tripled and was driven in by Heather Boutin's single for the lone Reggie tally.

High 5 for Rivera

Elvin Rivera ripped a three-run homer in the first and a two-run single in the third and his five RBIs powered Greater Lawrence to an 11-7 win over North Shore. Jose Abreu thwarted the comeback by starting double plays in the sixth and seventh innings. Joe Pizzuto clubbed a key RBI triple in the seventh and scored on the overthrow for some insurance.
