Freshman Emily Chen won the 50 freestyle in a state qualifying time and was on the winning 200 freestyle relay as Andover (4-0) sunk Melrose 88-74.

Faith Connors knocked down four 3-pointers and Emma Liporto added 15 points as North Andover held off Melrose for a 47-42 victory. Rachel Davies chipped in with 11 points and 13 rebounds for the winners.

Greater Lawrence boys soccer lost to Melrose 7-0 on Friday, eliminating the team from the Division 3 North tournament.

With the loss, Greater Lawrence senior Pedro Lopez will finish the season with 26 goals, giving him 94 for his career. That ranks No. 3 all-time in the area for boys, behind only David Trepanier of Fellowship Christian (123) and Charlie Davies of Brooks (101).

After missing the first five meets of the season due to injury, Anna Carroll returned to win the 100 butterfly (1:03.77) and swim on the winning 200 medley relay as Andover downed Melrose 87-77.

Pentucket's wrestling team improved to 16-6 with a 42-36 victory over Melrose thanks to four pins and three forfeits. Devin Young continued his rising season with a pin at 170 and Noah Malhi had a fall in 56 seconds at 220.

Michaela Sliney was a double-winner for Haverhill swimming, taking first in the 50-yard freestyle (27.06) and the 100 breaststroke (1:12.02) while also helping lead two winning relay teams in the Hillies' 89-81 win over Melrose.

Erin Mikson had a huge performance for Pentucket, scoring 4 goals and 4 assists to lead the Sachems to a 15-4 win over Melrose in the first round of the Division 2 North tournament. Sarah Wiles also had 4 goals in the win.

Michaela Sliney not only breezed to first in her specialty, diving, but captured first in the 100 breastsroke and was on two winning relay teams to pace haverhill to a 95-86 victory over Melrosecwon 

Cam and Tyler White won the final five games to pull out a 4-6, 6-3, 7-5 and North Andover blitzed Melrose 5-0 in its tourney opener.
