Pentucket saw its season come to an end on Friday despite a two hit performance with a run scored from Maddy Codair and another two base hits from Julie Freitas.

North Andover's Sebastian Keane struck out 15 over seven one-hit, shutout innings, but the No. 7 Scarlet Knights dropped a heartbreaker to No. 10 Burlington, 2-0 in eight innings in the Division 1 North first round. Keane also led the Knights with two hits.

Georgetown faced a tough test in Middlesex League opponent Burlington, but managed to grind out a tough 5-4 home win. Mary Laut led the way with three goals and Erin Irons and Lilly Egenberg scored Georgetown's other two goals in the win.

It was a great start to the season for Zach Keating, who piled up six goals while also dishing out four assists to lead North Andover boys lacrosse to a 16-5 win over Burlington.

Ollie Longo won the 50 freestyle (28.11), the 500 freestyle (6:48.66) and swam on the winning 400 freestyle relay (4:19.11) as Haverhill beat Burlington 95-77.

Central Catholic downed Burlington, 9-4, as Briona Myers went 2 for 4, scored a run and drove in four. Hailey Cockroft and Abby Latham drove in two runs apiece.

Methuen-Tewksbury girls hockey got five goals from Kelly Golini, who led the Red Raiders to a convincing 7-3 win over Burlington in the first round of the Division 2 state tournament. Methuen-Tewksbury will next face Longmeadow at Gallo Arena in Bourne in the Division 2 quarterfinals.

Katie Hogan won the 500 freestyle and 100 backstroke to lead North Andover to its second win of the fall, 88-82 over Burlington.

The Pentucket girls tennis team was swept by Burlington 5-0 in the first round of the Division 2 North tournament. Pentucket wraps up the season at 8-7.

The North Andover boys tennis team made short work of Burlington in its first round Division 2 North tournament matchup, winning 5-0. Adit Barauh won at first singles 6-2, 6-4, Tyler White took second singles 6-2, 6-3, and Eric Hall won at third singles 6-0, 6-0.
