Manny Arias hit seven 3-pointers on his way to a game-high 23 points and Haverhill rolled past Lowell Catholic 93-64. Angel Burgos and Zach Guertin each hit two 3's each.

Emmanuel Arias sank five 3-pointers and poured in 22 points to pace Haverhill over Lowell Catholic, 71-57.

Noah Tejada scored 10 points and added seven rebound and seven assists to help Lawrence down Lowell Catholic 82-73. Angel Herrera added 14 points and Gabriel Zorrilla had 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Christina Firek hit six 3-pointers on her way to a game-high 24 points and Haverhill rolled past Lowell Catholic 60-42. Kya Burdier chipped in with 12 points for the winners.

WEST ANDOVER — Appropriately, Greater Lawrence junior Alvin Torres intercepted a pass to end the game Saturday afternoon.

It was the Reggies' fifth interception of the day and capped a 32-15 victory over Lowell Catholic in the Division 7 North semifinals. It was the previous interceptions that keyed Greater Lawrence's sixth win of the year and sends it into next week's finals.

HAVERHILL – Three years into its own Hillie Classic, Haverhill finally found what it had been looking for – a classic tournament win. And true to season form, that victory wouldn’t come easily.

Nicole Verrette had an average game for Whittier softball, meaning she threw a 4-hitter, striking out 11, as the Wildcats whipped Lowell Catholic 10-1 for their seventh win in eight games. 

Whittier baseball suffered its first loss of the season, falling to Lowell Catholic, 4-1. Josh O'Brien had one of the team's three hits and drove in the Wildcats' lone run.

Alicia Habib, Danielle Lear and Lily Meekins all hit home runs over the fence in the second inning to lead Whittier to an 11-6 win over Lowell Catholic. Nicole Verrette struck out 11 for the victory.

HAVERHILL – Having already clinched its first postseason berth in six years, Haverhill decided at halftime of its regular-season finale it would be best to enter the regional with a winning record.
