Salem finished second at an eight-team meet at the University of New Hampshire thanks largely to the efforts of sophomore Max Jacques and senior Mike Marshall. Merrimack was first with 78 points, 20 more than Salem.
Jacques ran a superb 6.5 to take first in the 55-meter dash, capture the 300 in 38.0 and was third in the long jump while doubled in the 55 hurdles (7.7) and the high jump, clearing 6-6 and coming close to going 6-8. He was also second in the long jump.
