In a 3-1 win over North Reading, Newburyport's Jillian Kinter tied Kristin Mahoney's school record for goals scored in a career with 76 when Veronica Poirier took a throw in from Avery Cullinan in the seventh minuted and crossed back door to the wide open senior.
However, Kinter's effort was not the first of the day for the Clippers. Laura Muise put Newburyport on the board first dribbling through three defenders after terrific pass from Taylor Bresnahan. Then in the 24th minute Poirier, not to be outdone by Kinter, hit a side volley from 15 yards out to save to keep pace on the year with 12 goals a piece.
