After giving up two goals in the first period to No. 1 seed Shrewsbury, the HPNA girls made a game of it before dropping out of the Division 1 hockey tournament with a 2-1 loss.

Rebecca Harty scored for HPNA in the third period to cut the gap in half but could not quite get the equalizer.

Jenny Hubbard made 20 saves in the loss and "played a great game" according to coach Gary Kane. HPNA finished the season with a 13-7-2 record.
