Brooks stormed back to score the final three goals and beat South Kent, 3-2, in the New England Prep Class B boys soccer title game.

Retiring head coach Dusty Richard ends his 40-year tenure at Brooks with an unbeaten season and a title.

Brooks (15-0-5) trailed 1-0 at the half and 2-0 later on. Justin Verissimo gave the locals some hope with a goal and then with seven minutes left Andrew Stevens tallied the equalizer. With three minutes to play Jacob Iwowo found the back of the net for the winner.

The Brooks athletic department tweeted, "And Dusty Richard!!!!! You have gone out the way you should!!!"

Brooks boys basketball coach John McVeigh tweeted, "Hollywood ending for @AthleticsBrooks soccer coach Dusty Richard: 3 late goals to win 3-2 in New England champ in last game of 40 yr career."

On Saturday, former national team star Charlie Davies tweeted, "My high school coach, Dusty Richards, is retiring after 40 years! Today was his last home game. He was more then just my coach— he was my mentor who changed my life . Cheers to you Dust on a wonderful career!"
