ANDOVER — "We had them right where we wanted them!" said Phillips coach Leon Modeste with a big laugh.
The Big Blue actually trailed 31-21 after three but dominated the fourth to earn the 42-31 win over Suffield, which fell to 4-2.
Phillips (4-1) was led by Zach Geddes, who completed 17 of 27 passes for 271 yards and two touchdown passes. He added a TD run. Will Litton gained 132 yards and scored three times.
The defense was spearheaded by Adam Cohen (14 unassisted tackles), Junior Almeida (sack, 3 passes defended) and North Reading's Bobby O'Donnell (10 tackles, fumble caused, which he recovered).
Phillips is at Deerfield, Sunday, 2 p.m. The game was pushed back due to SATs
