LAKEVILLE, Conn. — The Phillips defense had the Hotchkiss quarterback scrambling for his life in a 47-13 season-opening win over Hotchkiss.
The Big Blue had a whopping nine sacks and 300-plus pound lineman Ricardo Hernandez had a 2-yard fumble recovery for a score. Adam Cohen and Kevin Milowski each had three sacks.
Phillips stormed to a 34-0 halftime lead and cruised in from there. Zach Geddes (6 carries, 105 yards) had both his scores in the first half.
Phillips hosts Loomis Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
