Whittier led by 14 points after one quarter, but saw the momentum slip away and fell to Manchester Essex 65-39 in the boys basketball Division 4 Round of 32. Yuki Efosa led the Wildcats with 14 points, including three 3-pointers.

 Tyler Rice erupted for 31 points, including five 3-pointers, as Whittier topped KIPP 68-48 on Friday.

Whittier won a 59-57 thriller over Greater Lawrence. Defensive replacement Jakub Jegorow hit two late free throws, Elijah Faust had a big rebound in the final minute and Yuki Efosa (14 points) iced the game with a steal. Schneider Geneus also had 14 in the win.

Yuki Efosa scored 19 points, Tyler Rice 18 and Schneider Geneus 17 as Whittier broke open a close game in the second half and dumped Greater Lowell 76-56.

Tyler Rice scored 17 of his 22 points in the first half, giving Whittier a 22 point halftime advantage, and the Wildcats rolled to a 65-49 win over Northeast. Schneider Geneus added 12 points for the winners.

Lewis Garcia scored a game-high 21 points, and Mike Diaz added 15 points as Greater Lawrence edged archrival Whittier 61-58 on Friday.

After Whittier Tech boys basketball allowed Lowell Catholic to erase a 15-point deficit to force overtime, Yuki Efosa came up big in the extra session with 10 of his 27 points to lead Whittier to a 71-60 win. Schneider Geneus added 14 points with three big blocked shots down the stretch.

Yuki Efosa knocked down four 3-pointers on his way to a game-high 19 points, and led a stifling defense that allowed just four points in the fourth quarter to lead Whittier to a 65-51 win over Minuteman. Schneider Geneus added 14 points and dominated rebounding.
