 PLAISTOW, N.H.  — With the field covered in three inches of snow and fog rolling in, the temperature below freezing and the program’s first playoff victory in nearly 20 years within reach on Friday, Timberlane placed the game in the hands of their running backs.

PLAISTOW, N.H. — For three quarters, Timberlane’s defense kept the Owls within striking distance on Friday, shutting out one of New Hampshire’s most explosive offenses in the second and third quarter.

HOLLIS — Timberlane had momentum early Saturday afternoon, but couldn't sustain it.

As a result, the Owls lost their second game of the season, 34-8 at Hollis-Brookline.

DOVER — Called on to move from receiver to quarterback, Timberlane senior Ethan Stewart delivered in a big way on Saturday.

In his first varsity action at QB, Stewart ran for 104 yards and threw a touchdown, while running back Dominic Pallaria added a career-high 108 yards and three 3-yard touchdowns as Timberlane surged to a 37-7 victory over St. Thomas.

Timberlane football's return to Division 2, after seven years away, turned out to be a thriller on Saturday.

Owls quarterback Dominic Coppeta found Robert Olson in the back of the end zone for a touchdown with 0:47 left, to cut Plymouth's lead to just two points.
