LOWELL — Everything was in place for Lawrence High and an eventual berth into the Div. 1 North finals on Saturday.

They had momentum after consecutive, dominating wins over Central Catholic and Lexington and they had their ace, Miguel Matos, who allowed six runs the entire season.

Josh Gruenberg threw his third straight complete-game shutout, leading Andover baseball to a 7-0 win over Tewksbury. The outing, which lowered his ERA to 0.67 for the season, took only him 68 pitches to finish.

Methuen baseball is now on a three-game winning streak after defeating Andover, 6-1. Corey Wheeler had two RBIs and threw five innings of two-hit baseball for the Rangers. Josh Gruenberg scored Andover's lone run.
