Pentucket's Jack Clohisy took third in the 55 hurdles (8.14) and Methuen's Anthony Fortuna was third in the 600 (1:27.43) at the Last Chance To Qualify Track Meet. North Andover won the 4x55 shuttle hurdles (31.73).

Rangers snap 40-year-old record

The Methuen boys 4x400 relay team of Max Fotino, Eric Salvo, Roan Marcano and Stanley Hanci placed second at the Division 1 state relays with a time of 3:26.2. That time broke a 40-year-old Rangers record set in 1979 by Kevin Tarr, Jim Ventre, Pete O'Down and Chuck Hillard (3:27.2).

New school record

According to Lawrence track and field coach Bill Meuse, sprinter Alez Suarez set the new school record in the 55 hurdles with a blazing time of 7.96. He came in third in a competitive field.
