Abby Mezquita was 4 for 4 and scored twice and sister Jess Mezquita was 3 for 4 with two runs scored as Timberlane (8-8) outlasted Bedford, 10-8 

Lexi Howard struck out 14 and threw a three-hitter and Abby Mezquita had a key two-run double as Timberlane beat Nashua South 5-1.

Jill Aziz singled in Kelsey Messina the winning run as Timberlane won 6-5 over Merrimack via the walk-off. Aziz also got the win on the mound. 

Freshman Sydney Emerson hit her sixth home run of the year, a three-run blast over the right-center fence to lead Salem to a 3-0 win over Timberlane. Brianna Marino got the win, striking out nine while throwing a four-hitter.

Jill Aziz went 4 for 4 as the leadoff batter and scored twice and also got the win as Timberlane clipped Bishop Guertin 8-3.

Pinkerton scored five runs in the first and then held off Timberlane 9-8 led by sophomore Mattie Sullivan, who was 2 for 2 with a home run, 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored. Junior Jackie Cerri also had a home run and scored twice fornthe Astros while, for Timberlane, freshman Hannah Collins was 3 for 4 with an RBI and scored three runs.

Jill Aziz was 4 for 5 with an RBI and run scored and red-hot Abby Mezquita was 2 for 4 with an RBI as Timberlane rallied for a 6-4 win over Manchester Memorial in eight innings.

Abby Mezquita hit two home runs and had RBIs to lift Timberlane softball over Keene, 8-2. In two games this season, the junior first baseman is 6 for 7 at the plate with two HRs, two doubles and eight RBIs.

PLAISTOW — Among the concerns of Timberlane coach Jim Clavette in the preseason was how the Owls would fare on the corners, at first base and third.

Well, that cioncerned was eased in Monday's season-opening 12-9 victory over Dover.
