BOXFORD — As stellar as Masconomet has been, one achievement has evaded them for the majority of the season: playing a full 50 minutes of mistake-free lacrosse.

With North Andover trailing by one goal with 5:02 left and the ball in the offensive zone, a lightning strike caused a delay. The referees elected to end the game there, and the Scarlet Knights fell 13-12 to Chelmsford. 

Hockey star Hannah Keating earned her first start of the season in net, and made seven saves as North Andover lacrosse beat Dracut 15-4.

Thanks to a season-high five goals from Dana Swartz, North Andover girls lacrosse cruised to a 19-10 win over Billerica. The win qualified the Knights (10-6) for the state tournament.

NORTH ANDOVER — A week that began sourly for North Andover girl lacrosse with a bitter defeat to a state power ended much more sweetly with a satisfying win over a border rival.

Defending Division 1 East champion Notre Dame of Hingham handed North Andover girls lacrosse a lopsided 18-0 loss on Monday.

Ali Ferullo scored four goals and McKenzie Driscoll was all over the field with a pair of assists as North Andover beat Tewksbury 17-4.

Central Catholic girls lacrosse got four goals from Megan Lane, and the Raiders held on to their halftime lead to down North Andover 13-10. Addison Jaromin also had a hat-trick for Central.

The North Andover girls lacrosse team had seven players score two goals in an 18-7 win over Tewksbury. Emma Balaguer led the Knights with three goals.

Trailing at the half, North Andover's girls lacrosse team scored four straight to surge to a 12-10 win over Masconomet. Julia Silk, Leah Hurley and Jill Good all had hat tricks, Dana Swartz had two goals and five assists and Kelly Corrigan and Kelcey Dion stood out with draw controls.
