Cushing pushed a run across in the eighth inning to outlast the Highlanders (0-1) in their season opener, 4-3. Jamie Capucci knocked in a run in the first inning and tied the game 3-3 with an RBI single in the fifth while Kellie Marshall was 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scores and three steals.
