Meghan Gulbrandsen made three terrific saves in the closing moments according to Haverhill girls soccer coach Fred Tarbox as the Hillies nipped Methuen 2-1. Marissa Pond and Kelleigh Coakley scored for the Hillies.

Meghan Gulbrandsen, the former All-Star goalie, had an assist and Kelleigh Cokely scored both goals as Haverhill soccer blanked Methuen, 2-0. Hope Worcester had the shutout with five saves.

Sparked by a solid defensive game from Michelle Gagnon, Andover shut out Haverhill, 4-0. Despite the loss, Hillie goalie Hope Worcester was superb with 20 challenging saves on the day.

 Maeze Holland scored with four minutes remaining, on an assist by Alli Wiggins, to lift Central Catholic's girls to a 1-0 victory over Haverhill. Meghan Gulbrandsen stood out in goal for the Hillies with 19 saves.

WEST NEWBURY  —  Senior Meghan Gulbrandsen may not be a dual threat, but she showed that she's a dual talent yesterday as the Haverhill girls soccer team opened their season witha 2-2 tie against Pentucket.
