Pinkerton, Londonderry advance to the title game

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Pinkerton’s Vicki Kuhn had been in a little bit of a scoring drought entering the playoffs.She failed to score a goal in her final three regular season games. That was the longest stretch she had gone without scoring all spring.

Lancers dominate opening round

No. 1 Londonderry did not allow a single shot on goal, downing No. 8 Nashua North 18-0 in the Division 1 quarterfinals. Jenny Thompson scored four goals while Josie Bezeredy and Marcie Marino each tallied hat tricks for the Lancers.

Senior Day romp

 

Londonderry's seniors got plenty of action and scored lots of goals in an 18-3 girls lacrosse romp over Souhegan oin Senior Day. Led by four goals each by Dana Boyle and Marcie Marino, eight different players scored for the unbeaten Lancers (15-0), who scored 44 goals in their last two games.

Splendid shutout

Londonderry girls lacrosse posted a rare shutout, beating Manchester Memorial, 19-0. The Lancers defense allowed only two shots. Marcie Marino, Jenny Thompson and Haley Skov each scored three goals.

Londonderry 10, Concord 8

Whether it was the long bus ride, the prom looming the next night or a Concord squad ripe for a battle, Londonderry was struggling. Keeping their composure and holding onto a slim lead, the Lancers survived, 10-8, to remain unbeaten at 8-0 and preserve a 28-game winning streak in the state including playoffs. Dana Boyle scored five goals and an assist in the victory.

Winning now while planning ahead seems to be working for Londonderry. All 20 of its field players saw equal time in an 18-3 victory over Salem while three goaltenders helmed the Astro net.
