METHUEN – It was a give-and-take relationship between Isaac Allen and his teammates during crunch time in the second half of the packed Larry Klimas Fieldhouse in Methuen last night.

Isaac Allen and Jesus Carpio each tossed in 26 points as MVC Division 2 champion Methuen showed it can mix it up with the big boys, knocking off Lawrence, 70-58. The Rangers finish off the regular season at 14-6.

Isaac Allen knocked down four 3-pointers on his way to 18 points as Methuen edged Chelmsford 57-56 on Friday to clinch the MVC Division 2 title outright. Jesus Carpio added 17 points and Anesti Touma had 10 points for the winners.

Methuen clinched a share of the MVC Division 2 title with a 60-43 win over Haverhill and can win it outright with a win Friday. The Hillies had no answers for Isaac Allen (26, 6 3's) and Jesus Carpio (25, 4 3's). AD Matt Curran said this was the Rangers' first league title since 2012. 

Isaac Allen led with 17 points and Jesus Carpio added 16 as Methuen celebrated Senior Day with a 57-49 win over Dracut.

Methuen held Billerica scoreless in the first quarter and the Rangers cruised, 52-37, to improve to 10-3. Isaac Allen was feeling it with 24 points and 5 treys while freshman Martin Drejaj added 8 points.

Jesus Carpio scored a game-best 21 points and Isaac Allen added 17 points as Methuen topped Tewksbury 58-46.

Andover downed Methuen as Aidan Cammann (13 points), Ryan MacLellan (19 points) and Logan Satlow (10 points) all cracked double figures. Methuen's Isaac Allen had a game-high 23 with five threes. 

Isaac Allen scored 22 points and Jesus Carpo added 18 points as Methuen topped Greater Lawrence 62-40 on Monday. Lewis Garcia led the Reggies with 11 points.
