Sanborn's boys won a thriller, defeating Coe-Brown 72-67 in overtime in the Division 2 quarterfinals to advance to Wednesday's quarterfinals. Sophomore Jared Khalil had his second big tourney game, leading the way with 22 points, but Jason Allen was huge with 16 points and clinched the win with two free throws with 26 seconds left in OT. Dylan Khalil chipped in with 14 points.

Jared Khalil had 17 points and brother Dylan Khalil added 15, with both sinking three 3-pointers, as Sanborn defeated Oyster River 66-62 in the first round of the Division 2 tournament. A strong 20-point third quarter made the difference for Sanborn, which had four players in double figures and will advance to Saturday's quarterfinals.

Pelham's boys (13-1) avenged their only loss with a 63-56 win over Sanborn. The Pythons were led by Jake Dumont who stuffed the stat sheet with 22 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 6 steals to lead the Pythons.  Sophomore Jake Cawthron had a career-high 10 points to go along with 8 rebounds.

Dylan Khalil had 28 points and went over 1,000 points for his career and brother Jared Khalil added 21 as Sanborn handed Pelham its first loss of the season, 74-58.

Dylan Khalil erupted for 30 points, including five 3-pointers, and little brother Jarden Khalil chipped in with 11 points as Sanborn beat Campbell 65-54.

Sanborn erupted for 26 points in the first quarter and then hung on for a 65-63 win over Campbell. Dylan Khalil drilled five 3-pointers and had 23 points while Jason Allen added a career-high 21.

Host Sanborn provided a stiff challenge Friday night but Pelham showed that it's more relading than rebuilding.

The Pythons, who graduated six seniors including Eagle-Tribune All-Stars Drew Brown and Derek Crowley from last year's 17-5 squad, improved to 5-0 with a 59-57 victory.

Sanborn improved to 3-0 with a 69-44 win over Coe-Brown. Dylan Khalil had 20 points, James Bush 16 and Jared Khalil 12.

Trailing by 17 in the third period, Sanborn stormed back and forced OT against Coe-Brown. The Indians won in double-OT, 73-69, on late free throws by Jared Khalil and James Bush. Khalil had 11 of his 25 in the fourth quarter. 

Dylan Khalil poured in 29 points and brother Jared Khalil added 16 as Sanborn opened its season with a 73-53 victory over Campbell.
