The timing of New Englands is less than perfect for New Hampshire track athletes.

Saturday’s 33rd annual meet at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston was 20 days after the N.H. state meets. Thus many of the Granite State elite don’t even bother competing.

Cross wins two

Meghan Cross won the 1,500 (5:01.06) and led the winning 4x800 relay to pace Pinkerton at a last chance meet at Phillips Exeter. Adding wins for the Astros were Macy Graves (600) and Emily Lesburt (high jump).

Astro duo take gold

Meghan Cross won the 3,000 (10:58.97) and Emily Lesburt took the high jump (5-4) as Pinkerton placed second at a New Hampshire meet. Windham's Abby Hughes was fourth in the 600 (3:14.43) and Timberlane's Shawna Ruth was fifth in the 55 hurdles (9.98).

Pair of winners

Macy Graves (1,000, 3:18.99) and Emily Lesburt (high jump, 5-2) both won their respective events to help the Pinkerton girls track team take second at an eight-team meet at UNH with 55 points.

Cross, Lesburt take first

Meghan Cross won the 3,000 in 11:19.43 and Emily Lesburt took first in the high jump with a 5-2 to lead Pinkerton to third as a team at a 13-team multi-meet. Macy Graves added a second in the 600 (1:42.19) for the Astros.
