There would be no David and Goliath parralells here. Second-seeded and undefeated Hollis-Brookline volleyball swept Windham, 3-0, in the first round of the Division 1 playoffs. Julia Leppanen had 14 assists, 6 service points and 2 aces for the No. 15 Jaguars (7-12).

The Timberlane volleyball team looked Abby Griffin's way offensively and the senior was up for the task. She delivered eight kills to help the Owls take down Windham 3-1. Senior Ellie Schott also played well with a team high 27 assists, 18 service points and 8 aces.

Sophomore Cassie Faria had 14 kills and classmate Ava Mayo had 24 service points as Windham staged a big 3-1 win over Bedford.

Julia Leppanen led Windham with 13 assists, 14 service points and 5 aces as the Jaguars shut out Manchester Central 3-0.

The Windham volleyball team was very balanced offensively during its 3-1 win over Concord. Kayla Stevens (10 kills), Cassie Faria (9 kills) and Arielle Nysten (8 kills) were all forces on the front line.

Thanks to a game-high 19 kills from Cassie Faria, the Windham volleyball team picked up its first win of the year, beating Bishop Guertin 3-1. The key stretch in the match came in the fourth game, when Julia Leppanen (35 assistsm 20 service points) went on an eight-point service run to put the Jaguars ahead for good.
