There would be no David and Goliath parralells here. Second-seeded and undefeated Hollis-Brookline volleyball swept Windham, 3-0, in the first round of the Division 1 playoffs. Julia Leppanen had 14 assists, 6 service points and 2 aces for the No. 15 Jaguars (7-12).

Griffin steps up

The Timberlane volleyball team looked Abby Griffin's way offensively and the senior was up for the task. She delivered eight kills to help the Owls take down Windham 3-1. Senior Ellie Schott also played well with a team high 27 assists, 18 service points and 8 aces.

Jaguars in W column

Thanks to a game-high 19 kills from Cassie Faria, the Windham volleyball team picked up its first win of the year, beating Bishop Guertin 3-1. The key stretch in the match came in the fourth game, when Julia Leppanen (35 assistsm 20 service points) went on an eight-point service run to put the Jaguars ahead for good.
