Clohisy, Fortuna shine

Pentucket's Jack Clohisy took third in the 55 hurdles (8.14) and Methuen's Anthony Fortuna was third in the 600 (1:27.43) at the Last Chance To Qualify Track Meet. North Andover won the 4x55 shuttle hurdles (31.73).

Raiders go unbeaten


Central Catholic defeated every team in one of four all-league MVC meets, going 10-0. James Pothier led the way, winning the mile in 4:39.58 and finishing third in the 600, Dimetri Morris was first in the 55 hurdles and Central took first in the 4x400 relay. For North Andover (8-2), Brian Voke was first in the 1,000 and Trevor Nassar was secondin the 300 and on the winning 4x200 relay team along with Tyler Glendon, Luke Hardy and Jayden Rios. For Haverhill, Sean Glass was first in the 300 and second in the 55-meter dash.

New school record

According to Lawrence track and field coach Bill Meuse, sprinter Alez Suarez set the new school record in the 55 hurdles with a blazing time of 7.96. He came in third in a competitive field.
