CHIOPEE —  Timmy Dias fired a superb 1-over par 71 at the Chicopee Country Club Monday to pace North Andover to fourth place at the Division 1 state golf tournament.

Freshman James Robbins fired a terrific 75 and teammates Timmy Dias was two strokes back with a 77 as North Andover continued its fine season by winning the Division 1 North golf crown at Turner Hill Country Club in Ipswich, finishing with a score of 314. Dan MacMillan added a 79 for the Knights, who edged perennial power St. John's Prep by two strokes.

Central Catholic's Josh Lavallee fired a 75 to earn first place as an individual and lead the Raiders to the team title at the Merrimack Valley Conference Golf Championship on Thursday at Vesper Country Club. 

North Andover improved to 12-0-1 with a 12-8 win over Central Catholic. Luke DePolito and Nolan Whitlock both won 5 and 4 for the Knights.

Haverhill earned the 10-10 tie with unbeaten North Andover (now 6-0-1). Haverhill's Troy Donahue and North Andover's Tim Dias tied for medalist honors with even-par 35s. Mackenzie Murphy, Haverhill coach Kevin Murphy's daughter, had a big win at No. 7 while the Knights got a big win from Adam Heinze at No. 4.

Thomas Finn won his match 5 and 3 and North Andover rolled over Dracut 20-0. James Robbins added a 5 and 3 win for the Scarlet Knights.
