BEDFORD, N.H. — Pinkerton and Londonderry played to a 1-1 draw in their regular-season meeting back on Oct. 4, but last night’s Class L state title game was markedly different.

The Lancers cashed in on a pair of first-half goals and used some particularly stingy second-half defense to cruise past the Astros, 2-0, and capture their second state title in school history. The other was in 1981, when the Lancers won the AA title.

BEDFORD, N.H. — In the end, Londonderry was able to finish, and Timberlane wasn’t.

Despite the Owls dominating the territorial battle for much of the game, Londonderry’s Kayla Green vaulted the Lancers into the Class L Final on Sunday with a goal 6:55 into second half. The Lancers prevailed, 1-0, last night’s semifinal.

Londonderry field hockey defeated Winnacunnet 1-0 and Timberlane defeated Dover 3-2 in overtime to set up an all-local Class L semifinal. The Lancers will face the Owls at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Bedford High School.

In the season finale, Siobhan Lundt scored with 1:54 remaining in the game to give Timberlane a 3-2 victory over Class L leader Londonderry.

Kayla Green scored twice, her whopping 21st an 22nd goals of the season, as Londonderry bested Manchester Central 3-0. Emily Baker recorded two saves in the shutout.

Emily Baker turned away eight shots to give Londonderry a 2-1 victory over three-time defending Class L state champion Salem. Kayla Green and Charlotte Sweet each scored a goal for the Lancers (8-1-1). Ashlynn Moerloos scored the Blue Devil (7-2-1) goal.

Kayla Green had a hat trick as Londonderry beat Nashua South 5-0 in girls soccer.
