Freshman Claudia Porto of Salem had a career-high 10 points on a pair of 3's to help Central Catholic take down Methuen 59-40.

Methuen's Kayla Dorandi knocked down two free throws with 10 seconds left to tie the game, but Tewksbury responded with a shot with two seconds left to win a 38-36 thriller.  

Junior Gia Bramanti scored 18 points and classmates Taylor Landry and Sarah Sullivan added 12 and 11 respectively as Andover's girls clipped Methuen 60-47 to improve to 7-7.

Kayla Allbee hit two free throws with 20 seconds left to give Methuen a 51-50 win over Newburyport (8-3), one of the top clubs in the Cape Ann League. Sophomore Olivia Barron (16 points, 11 rebounds) continues to shine for the Rangers and Makayla Ferullo (14 points) hit some big hoops late for 6-6 Methuen.

It was a career day for Methuen freshman Stephanie Tardungo. She had a season-high 12 points and knocked down a pair of 3's to help the Rangers take down Dracut.

Makayla Ferullo knocked down four 3-pointers on the way to a team-best 20 points and Methuen topped Chelmsford 57-50.

Mikayla Ferullo drilled five 3-pointers and was 7 for 8 from the line to finish with a season-high 24 points as Methuen defeated Haverhill 61-48.

Methuen threw a big scare into unbeaten Billerica (7-0) before falling 44-40. The Rangers (2-5) led 40-39 before a late 3-pointer sparked BMHS. Kayla Allbee had 10 points, Makayla Ferullo 9 and Katy Dorandi 7 in the loss. 

Emily Downer scored a game-high 16 points and added 10 rebounds and four blocks to lead Central Catholic to a 59-30 win over rival Methuen.
