Brooks wins New England title

The Brooks School boys basketball team made history on Sunday, beating Rivers 63-42 to win the New England Prep School Athletic Conference Class B championship for the first time since 1981. Ikenna Ndugba scored 17 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists to win tournament MVP honors, Merrimac's Pat Freiermuth added 12 points and senior captain Jalen Martinez of Methuen scored the final basket of the game.

The Brooks boys basketball team clinched its second straight Independent School League title with a 63-39 romp over St. Mark's. Sophomore Brian Wright-Kinsey had five 3-pointers and a career-high 19 points, along with eight rebounds, to lead the way.
