Andover dominates North sectionals

CAMBRIDGE — Andover was in its full dominant form, taking four first-place finishes on the way to rolling to the North sectional swim title on Saturday night at MIT.

The Golden Warriors earned victory with 474 points, well ahead of No. 2 Acton-Boxboro (292.5).

Knights win D2

North Andover edged Lowell to win the MVC Division 2 swim meet. Sydney Seo was a quadruple-winner and Chrissy Hogan captured the 50 freestyle. For the Methuen-Tewksbury boys, Patrick Doyle and Matt Blanco both won two individual events.

Sliney leads Hillies

Michaela Sliney was a double-winner for Haverhill swimming, taking first in the 50-yard freestyle (27.06) and the 100 breaststroke (1:12.02) while also helping lead two winning relay teams in the Hillies' 89-81 win over Melrose.
