Elizabeth Burgess won the high jump (4-10) and was second in the mile (5:52) and Marlene Christianson won the discus (72) and added a second in the shot (25-1) to lead Danvers (2-0) over Winthrop 75-47. Maria Pantazelos contributed a win in the 200 and a second place finish in the low hurdles and Katelyn Hartnett won the 800.
A trio of double-winners paced the Falcons (1-0) to an 82-54 win in the season opener for both teams. Maria Pantazelos took the 300 low hurdles (51.3) and the 200 (27.8), Liz Burgess took first place in the mile (5:51.5) and the high jump (4-10) and Taryn Pydynkowski was victorious in the triple jump (29-9) and the javelin (62-9).
