Pentucket (21-1) avenged its only loss of the year but it wasn't easy. The Sachems downed Notre Dame of Hingham 40-38 in double-overtime. In her first varsity appearance, Bella Doyle had four points and played some key minutes and Kelsi McNamara had a team-high 12 points.

Kelsi McNamara netted a team-high 14 points as Pentucket girls basketball won 48-42 over Belmont in the St. Mary's Tournament final.

McNamara was named the tourney's MVP. 

Pentucket's girls basketball team coasted past Lynn English 50-32 in the first round of the Spartan Classic in Lynn to advance to Tuesday's championship game against a tough Belmont squad. Colleen Jameson had eight of her 12 points in the first quarter to spark the Sachems (19-1) to a 24-5 halftime lead.

Senior McKenna Kilian notched a game-high 20 points in her final game on the Pentucket court as the Sachems beat North Reading 65-31. Colleen Jameson added five 3-pointers and Audrey Tipson had nine rebounds for the winners.

Pentucket's girls basketball team wrapped up the Cape Ann League championship with a 56-31 thrashing of Newburyport. McKenna Kilian and Kelsi McNamara paced the Sachems (15-1) with 16 and 14 points and Boo Torrisi had six points, eight rebounds and played outstanding defense. It was Pentucket's sixth CAL title in the last nine years.

Kelsi McNamara knocked down six 3-pointers on her way to 31 points as Pentucket bested Hamilton-Wenham 58-41. It was McNamara's second 30-plus point game of the season, trailing the 33 she scored in a win over Spaulding.

Senior Audrey Tipson scored a career-best 16 points and starred on defense as Pentucket beat Masconomet 53-44 in a battle of Cape Ann powers. Rebecca Torrisi also keyed the defense for the Sachems, who improved to 13-1 while Masco fell to 11-3.

McKenna Kilian pumped in 23 points and Kelsi McNamara added 18 as Pentucket downed Georgetown 74-56. Maya Spence had 17 for the Royals.

Kelsi McNamara hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give Pentucket a 45-42 victory over Manchester Essex. McNamara led all scorers with 24 points but the Sachems struggled with their shooting and didn't lead until the final shot.

McKenna Kilian scored a season-high with 19 points as Pentucket girls basketball rolled 47-26 over Lynnfield. 

Her past three games she's scored 18, 15 and 19 points.
