Pinkerton had a very specific plan to combat Bishop Guertin's high-flying attack: outscore the Cardinals.
That didn't happen.
Pinkerton was held scoreless in the first quarter and scored only once in the third quarter of the Division 1 state final and Bishop Guertin cruised to a 14-11 win.
