Londonderry upset by sixth-seeded Concord

If he had to make the decision over again, Londonderry coach Wayne MacDougall still doesn't know what he would do.

Londonderry's Beaudet no-hits Little Green

Brooke Beaudet took no prisoners, tossing her first no-hitter of the season as No. 3 Londonderry blanked No. 14 Manchester Central, 9-0, in the first round of the Class L tourney. She carried a perfect game into the sixth when the lone Little Green hitter to reach base did so via error.

Londonderry win over Salem no small matter

Even though it was a milestone for him, Londonderry coach Wayne MacDougall tried to downplay yesterday's 4-2 victory over two-time defending Class L champion Salem.

Although it was his first win over Salem in 12 years as head coach, MacDougall stressed that "it's only April," and that it'd be much more important later in the season.

Crotts blast sinks Londonderry

One mistake from Londonderry's Brooke Beaudet was all Kristin Crotts needed.

Crotts, a senior first baseman, jumped all over a two-strike fastball, crushing it to dead center. The bomb, which drove in Annie Hansbury, broke open a tie game in the bottom of the third and allowed Timberlane to grab a 3-1 victory.
