Just like the Red Sox, Londonderry has its own good luck hawk that patrols the field at Lancer Park.
Last night it showed up just in time to help the sixth-seeded Lancers pick up a 3-2 comeback win over No. 11 Manchester Central in the first round of the Class L tournament.

But Finnegan was out-dueled by University of Maine-bound A.J. Bazdones, who struck out 10 and allowed five hits and two walks. Chris Crutcher was 1 for 2 with a walk for the Lancers.

Though Londonderry batters struck out five times in the first two innings, they settled down and recorded 10 hits for sophomore starter Jake Finnegan. Finnegan worked four innings and surrendered two runs, one earned, and fanned six batters. Brian Finnegan (one RBI) and Sean Caron (one run) each had two hits in the game.
