Windham's Rachel Estes scored her first varsity goal in overtime to help lift the Jaguars field hockey team to a 2-1 win over Souhegan in their season opener. Katie O'Connor had the assist on the game winner, and Bri Langlois scored the first goal assisted by Rachel Rogers.

Semi Tough

Windham qualified for the Division 2 title for the third year in a row by downing Souhegan 3-1. Taylor Powell, Justine Levesque and Rachel Rogers all scored as the defending champion Jaguars punched their ticket to the final. Abigail Lagos got the win with two saves. No. 1 Windham (15-0-1) will play No. 2 Lebanon in the title game Sunday, 5 p.m., at Bedford. The Jags beat Lebanon in OT in a mid-season matchup. Lebanon beat Windham in the 2012 title game.

Lanouette on fire

Rachel Lanouette, who had three goals in the regular season, tallied two scores to lead No. 1 seed Windham to a 6-0 drubbing of No. 8 Merrimack Valley in the Division 2 quarterfinals. Justine Levesque added two goals and Courtney Sweeny and Emma Lindquist each scored once for the Jaguars, who next face No. 4 Souhegan in the semifinals on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Bill Ball Stadium in Exeter.
