MANCHESTER — Given a second chance, Londonderry walked off the NE Delta Dental Stadium yesterday much more euphorically than a year ago.

Twelve months after dropping a heartbreaking Division I state title game in a one-run decision to Exeter, the fifth-seeded Lancers knocked off third-seeded border-rival Pinkerton 4-1 to win the progam's fifth New Hampshire championship in six tries and third since 2004.

Rob Del Signore was 2 for 3 with a home run and two RBIs as Londonderry scored four runs in the seventh to rally for a 6-5 win over Merrimack.

Alex Brickman's bomb to right-center scored Tim Awiszus with the winning run in the bottom of the ninth as Andover beat Londonderry 5-4. Reid Bryant tossed five innings of no-hit relief and Sam Bennett got the win with a 1-2-3 ninth.

Rob Del Signore fired a two-hitter, striking out 15, as Londonderry whipped Salem 8-1. He also drove in a pair of runs and teammate Tom Corey was 2 for 2 with an RBI and run scored.

Chris Gerossie helped Pinkerton gain a regular season split with Londonderry, going six strong innings in a 4-2 Astros win. John Polichetti pitched a scoreless seventh for his second save. Both teams are now 8-3.

Tom Corey hit a pair of home runs and finished the game with six RBIs to lead Londonderry to a 13-6 drubbing of Alvirne.

Down 3-1 in the sixth, Londonderry rallied for six runs in the sixth to overcome Manchester Central, 7-3. Rob Del Signore smacked a pair of doubles in the win, and Brett Evangelista had two hits, scoring twice.
