Trinity clubs Windham in state quarters

 Austin Chambers rushed for 148 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries as Trinity pounded Windham in the Division 2 South title game. Carmen Giampetruzzi passed for two touchdowns.

It was a far cry from the regular season matchup when the Jags rolled 52-20. Trinity (8-2) is at Portsmouth in Saturday's semifinals.

Windham avenges tourney loss with big win

WINDHAM — For nearly a full year, David Crichton and his Windham teammates waited for another shot at Trinity. “Last season they sent us home (from the playoffs),” said the senior lineman. “So wanted revenge for what happened last year. We were prepared and wanted to get them back.” Yesterday, the Jaguars more than avenged last season’s Division 4 semifinal loss. Behind the legs of Kurtis Jolicoeur and the arm of Brendan McInnis, Windham accumulated 504 yards of total offense on the way to handing Trinity just its second loss of the season, a 52-20 trashing.

“We’ve been waiting for this since we had to say goodbye to our seniors on their field last year,” said McInnis. “This is the culmination of all those days of hard work and all the long practices in August. To know we can not only compete but win a game against a team like this is huge.”

Windham runs wild over John Stark

WEARE, N.H. —  Kurtis Jolicoeur opened the floodgates with a 48-yard touchdown run, then finished off the onslaught with a 68-yard interception for a score as Windham did all of its scoring in the first half on the way to rolling over John Stark 37-6.

Windham wins season opener

Junior Brendan McInnis completed 12 of 15 pass attempts for 150 yards as Windham rolled 28-7 over Hanover last night in the season opener for both teams.

Joe Frake caught four passes for 45 yards and Gui Gauthier hauled in three passes for 31 yards.
