Haverhill fell to Lincoln-Sudbury 5-0. It was one of the best seasons in school history with the Hillies advancing to the Division 1 North semifinals. 

"I'm very satisfied with the season," said Hillie coach  David Reed. "I didn't know how it was going to go. First (Christina Cokely), second (Madeline Scovotti) and third singles (Lucille Sirois) were anchors for us this season."

Haverhill's first doubles team of Jenna Ranzo and Heather Pearson clinched a 3-1 win over Methuen with a tough 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 win.

Yuri Kim won the final match 7-5, 7-6 (7-3). Her blistering forehand winner clinched her match at third singles and the match for North Andover, which topped Haverhill 3-2.

Lucille Sirois won 6-3, 2-6, 6-2 at No. 3 singles in the day's decisive match to lead Haverhill 3-2 over Chelmsford. 

Madeline Scovotti came back at No. 2 singles, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3, in the deciding match of the day to lead Haverhill 3-2 over Methuen in girls tennis. 

Supported by steady play from the first doubles pairing of Jena Ranzo and Heather Pearson, Haverhill girls tennis rolled to a 4-1 victory over Central Catholic.

With the match tied at 2-2, Haverhiill's Madeline Scovotti won a marathon match 4-6, 6-0, 7-6 (7-3) to give Haverhill the 3-2 win over Amesbury. Scovotti, a senior, made the big jump from playing second doubles last year.
