White makes MC blue

With an offense that was struggling to find itself, Haverhill had to lean on goalie Joshua White and its defense and both came through in a 9-6 victory over Malden Catholic. White registered 10 of his 15 saves in the second half in a superb effort. With a team-high five goals, Connor Tufts picked up his 50th goal of the season in the win.

Defense galore

Strong team play from defenders Curtis Robart, Connor Schneider and Erik Mangrum along with defensive midfielders Josh Dionne, John Rankin, Chance Brady and Pat Fitzgerald shut out Central Catholic over three quarters in Haverhill's 8-3 lacrosse victory. Goalie Joshua White had five big saves in the fourth quarter for the victorious Hillies.

Chance Brady was a commanding 15 for 19 on faceoffs, allowing Haverhill extra possessions and scoring opportunities in a 15-1 lacrosse victory over Methuen. Nathaniel Vazquez (four goals and two assists) and Connor Tufts (four goals), among others, took full advantage of Brady's work.

Nick DeFusco's goal at the 3:19 mark in overtime put the finishing touches on Haverhill's 8-7 overtime thriller over Lowell. DeFusco charged to the net and made a nice spin move before scoring on a bounce shot.
