Londonderry Lancers Field Hockey '11

Merrimack 2, Londonderry 1

Londonderry was halfway towards an impressive upset but Merrimack rebounded with two second-half goals and a 2-1 victory. Julie Hamilton and Sarah Ford turned in outstanding efforts on defense for the Lancers, and Ford set up Londonderry's goal with her long feed to Jess Fleet near the net.

Breaking out

 

After dropping its first two games, the Londonderry field hockey team erupted for an 8-0 victory over Nashua North. Jess Fleet scored twice and 11 different players had either a goal or an assist for the Lancers.

Lange beats the clock

Masha Lange intercepted an outlet pass in the Londonderry end and brought it into the circle, shot and scored with 13.2 seconds left to give Timberlane a 2-1 field hockey win over Londonderry. Owl midfielders Emily Calder, Jenn Trodella, Katie Tomasi and Caitlin Ferreira also came up big.

Manchester Memorial 4, Londonderry 1

Kelsey LeBlanc's goal on a penalty stroke kept Londonderry even at halftime, but Manchester Memorial's offense exploded in the second half en route to a 4-1 victory. Senior Erin Sanborn did a good job as part of the Lancers' offense, moving the ball well up the wings and feeding teammates for good scoring opportunities.
