Molly Gleason (two goals) set a career milestone with her 200th career point, but Andover's onslaught of offense led to a 14-4 Division 1 North first round victory over Haverhill. The Warriors had 16 players make the scoresheet with sophomores Jacklyn Torres (two goals and an assist) and defender Macayla McQuade coming through with clutch performances.

Raiders clinch league crown.

Courtney O'Neil and Christine Keenan each scored four goals as Central Catholic beat Haverhill 17-5.

"This clinched the MVC Small title for us," said Raiders coach Phil Rowley, whose team improved to 15-1 for the season. "So this was big for us. The girls really stepped up."

Just called up from the JVs last game, freshman Abby Nauffes took little time to register her first varsity goal, adding three assists as Haverhill's lacrosse team slammed Dracut, 26-12. Molly Gleason had seven goals and six assists as the Hillies broke their own single-game scoring record set just last week.

Record-setting performance

Haverhill's girls lacrosse team has "found out their roles and are developing their talents," according to head coach Mindy Cripps. Tewksbury found our first-hand as the Hillies set a new single-game scoring record, winning 25-16. Molly Gleason had a 10-point day and Nicole Pereira added eight, while Sarah McDonald and Stefani Vadeboncoeur were lauded for outstanding defensive efforts.

Hillie Heartbreak

 

Medford and Haverhill went at it with the Mustangs pulling out an 11-10 win. "Whoever had it last was going to win, we just kept going back and forth," said Hillies coach Mindy Cripps. "It was quite heartbreaking, really intense. But out kids played with a lot of heart, a lot of spunk." Molly Gleason paced Haverhill with three goals and a pair of assists.
