1.Gloucester (10-1-2): Fishermen responded to their first loss of the season with an impressive win over Danvers, but followed that up with a lackluster tie in Winthrop. The return of star forward Josh Salah from injury this weekend will help buoy the team's spirits.
Last week: 1

2.St. John's Prep (6-5-2): Sweeping the defending Super 8 champions from B.C. High is a huge feather in the Eagles' cap (pardon the pun). Didn't play badly in losing to unbeaten Catholic Memorial, either.
Last week: 2

3.Central Catholic (7-4-4): Bounced back from a 4-0 loss to Malden Catholic, the No. 3 team in Eastern Mass, with a 8-1 drubbing of Acton-Boxboro. Cam Fisichelli led the way with a career-best four goals.
Last week: 3

4.Andover (11-2-2): The Golden Warriors extended their unbeaten streak to nine game with wins over Chelmsford and Lincoln-Sudbury. Matt Perry scored two goals in the L-S game, having only one going into the contest.
Last week: 5

5.Peabody (10-4-0): How on earth do you explain a 6-goal home loss to Revere? This team is way too talented for that to be happening.
Last week: 4

6.Timberlane (11-3-1): Zach Fox (2 goals, four assists) and Nick Bundzinski (3 goals, 5 assists) stayed hot, and so did the Owls with a win over Merrimack and a tie with Lebanon. They now sit in first place in New Hampshire Division 2.
Last week: 7

7.Salem, N.H. (11-4-0): After a big win over Division 2 powerhouse Bishop Guertin, struggled to a 4-3 loss to Division 1 foe Concord. Mike Frahm scored his first career goal to spark a comeback in the loss.
Last week: 6

8.Danvers (7-4-2): Someone other than the first line (and defenseman Jake Korthas) needs to step up and start delivering some scoring consistency.
Last week: 8

9.Masconomet (9-5-0): Five victories in their last six contests and seven wins in their last nine have the Chieftains playing their best, most consistent hockey of 2007-08.
Last week: 11

10.Bishop Fenwick (7-3-1): Needing just three points in their final nine games, the Crusaders will not only qualify for postseason play, but should be able to get themselves a decent seeding, too.
Last week: 12

11.Swampscott (8-4-3): Their long-awaited first taste at the playoffs since 1997 could come as early as Saturday night, where a tie or a win against the Lynn Jets punches the Big Blue's postseason ticket.
Last week: 10

12.North Reading (7-5-1): Dustin Goddard, Ben Harrow and Jeff Leonard all scored their first goal of the season as the Hornets bested Amesbury 8-1. Mike Sylvia had a team-high two goals.
Last week: unranked

Honorable mention: Newburyport (6-6-1)
