Jeremy Zannini won the 50 in a speedy 5.6 and impressive freshman Zac Krysinski won the hurdles in 7.0 to highlight Central Catholic's 61-25 win over Chelmsford.

After setting a new school record in the 40-yard hurdles last week, John Braga lowered the time again as he ran a 5.70 as part of North Reading's meet against Masconomet.

Hannah Kimball led Timberlane by winning the 1,000 meters in 3:09.2 in an 11-team met. Meghan Tarr (600) and Kate Estep (1,500) took thirds and helped the Owls to a third in the 4x400.

Chris Poggi ran a school record 1:22.82 to win the 600 and John Davis (shot put 42-5) and Mark Franklin (high jump tie 5-10) were also victorious as Pinkerton swept a 15-team meet.

Sophomore Cam Pavao ran a fine 10:27.7 in the 2-muile to highlight Methuen's 62-24 victory over Dracut. Junior newcomer John Maginnis was a double winner in the hurdles and high jump.

In Central's 61-25 win over Haverhill, Alex Dehullu was a double winner (high jump/hurldles), Bryce Santos won the 300 and took second in the high jump. Adrien Fleury won the 1,000 and his brother Paul placed second in the 600 for the Raiders.

A pair of junior newcomers helped lead the way as the Lawrence boys track team clipped Greater Lawrence 48-38. Jose Adames captured the 50 dash in 5.7 and Kery Cajou cleared 5-10 to take first in the high jump. Another junior, Francisco Puello, won the 50 hurdles for the second straight meet. For the Reggies, Hector Payano ran 38.7 for first in the 300.

Methuen senior Mike O'Donnell ran an indoor personal best 9:31.26 to win the 2-mile at the Winter Festival Large School meet.

Central Catholic's Jeremy Zannini won the 55 meter hurdles in 8.0 to lead the Raiders 56-30 over North Andover in boys track.

Over the girls side, North Andover's Eleni Coufos won the 600 in 1:47.9 as the Scarlet Knights won 47-39 over Central. 

BOSTON — Methuen junior Michael O’Donnell felt like a freshman at All-States yesterday.

“Almost everyone else is a senior,” said O’Donnell about his competition. “So going into this I felt like the little guy.”
