Central Catholic pitcher Olivia Antczak wasn't at the top of her game offensively or defensively, but she delivered in the clutch with a two-out RBI single in the bottom of the ninth for an 8-7 win over Methuen. Leslie Moore had a solo homer, three hits and three RBIs for the Raiders and Madison Borrelli was 3 for 4 and scored twice. Kat LeFebre had a grand slam for the Rangers.

Josie Sanchez hit a home run for the second straight game, giving her five for the year, as Whittier whipped Northeast 12-1 for its 12th win of the year. Sanchez had three hits overall, scored three times and had four RBIs. Destiny Jordan also had a home runand eight players had at least two hits.

Prevailing again

 

Pinkerton's softball team won its second straight game in the final innuing, scoring twice in the bottom of the seventh yesterday in an 8-7 victory over Nashua South. Kelly Fitzsimmons tripled in Candace Moore for the tying run and then scored on Sam Comeau's RBI single. Kinsey Manchester was 2 for 2 with two RBIs and scored twice for the Astros (6-6).
