Ryan Allard scored both goals in the first period to keep Salem unbeaten (5-0) with a 2-0 win at Hanover.

Sean Ryan scored twice as Central Catholic came out of a 1-1 first period deadlock to whip Haverhill, 7-1.

Ryan Pappalardo scored twice and Spencer Deane made 34 saves as Salem trounced Londonderry late Saturday night.

Tim Berube scored twice as North Andover won its second straight, 3-1 over Billerica.

Sophomore Braden Archambault scored his first varsity goal with three minutes left in regulation and Andover tied Chelmsford, 1-1, in overtime. Jake Brezner had 26 saves.

It was 1-1 after two but Central Catholic owned the third period en route to a 4-1 win over previously unbeaten Tewksbury. Aidan O'Connell and Mike Dinges each had two goals and an assist. "It was a big game and the big players came up big," said coach D.J. Conte. Michael Brothers (16 saves) came up big in net. Conte praised Tyler DiBurro for his defense as well as some inspired play from the freshman-sophomore line of Brady Rickenbach, Charlie Winship and Sean Gray.  Both clubs are now 5-1.

Ryan Pappalardo scored his second goal of the game 2:25 into overtime to give Salem a 3-2 victory over Londonderry on Wednesday. Sam Maietta added the other goal for the Blue Devils (4-0).

A five-minute major penalty resulted in three Tewksbury power play goals and proved te difference as Central Catholic's hockey team dropped its first game, 4-3. Sean Gray continued his strong play with one of the Raisers' three goals.

Brendan Donnelly scored twice on the power play and C.J. Carpentier also tallied as North Andover (1-3-1) got its first win, downing Billerica, 3-1. It was the Indians' season-opener.  Ben Williamson (21 saves) made some dandy saves in the win.

Unbeaten Central Catholic (4-0) scored all its goals in the second period to edge North Andover, 4-3. Will Moriarty, Michael Collett, Sean Gray and Braeden Curran all found the back of the net for the Raiders.
