 TILTON, N.H. — Undefeated Pelham wasted no time in putting away winless Winnisquam Saturday.

The Pythons (8-0) scored 21 points in the first quarter and was ahead 47-0 at halftime when the officials called the game because of a shortage of Winnisquam players.

Whatever the halftime speech was, the Sanborn boys soccer team certainly heard the message. Trailing 1-0 at the break, the Indians exploded for five goals in the second half — two from Brady Ash — to beat Winnisquam 5-1.

Owls' B team wins title

 

The Timberlane B team won the Winnisquam Winter Classic, outdistancing small school power Plymouth.

Jake Rousseau (106), Brent Seavey (132) and Nick Pallaria (138) were champions and Adam Marquis (126) and Nate Szpak (160) were runner-ups. Joe Friel (145) won an exciting 13-11 match over his Plymouth opponent for 3rd place that proved to be the difference.

Career night for Shlimon

Lilly Shlimon erupted for a career-high 27 points to lead Pelham past Winnisquam 63-33 in Thursday's Division 3 second round matchup. Danielle Sirois added 13 points and freshman Olivia Gagnon scored 8 points for the Pythons, who will face No. 6 seed Fall Mountain in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
