Sanborn Regional coach Bob Ficker walked over to the water cooler midway through the fourth quarter, patted his star guard on the back for his efforts and told him, "Good job." The lectures about taking a dumb foul to foul out of the game could wait until the ride home. Or even over a snack at the dinner table.

Lundquist lighting it up

Make no mistake about it, it has been a bit of a rough transition for Fellowship Christian Academy boys soccer this year going from a non-MIAA schedule of predominantly small Christian schools to a spot in the Commonwealth Conference. Well, make that a rough transition for everyone except the Rams' Brian Lundquist. The sophomore has been absolutely superlative this fall, racking up 22 goals and five assists for the tiny Christian school in Methuen.

North Shore outslugs Fellowship Christian

Mike Silva notched four goals as North Shore Tech beat Fellowship Christian 6-4. The Bulldogs (1-3) first Commonwealth Athletic Conference game of the season was a memorable one, as Tim Gil and Nick Damato also scored in the win while Gil, Kyle Oliva and Joel D'Ambrosio recorded assists. North Shore Tech goalie Joe Acciavatti made five saves.
