Sachem girls roll

 

Pentucket's girls tennis team continues to play its best at the most opportune time, blanking Bishop Fenwick 5-0 in the Division 3 North quarterfinals.

For the second straigght tournament matchup, singles players Olivia Colby, Maggie Aulson and Parker Greason won their matches in straight sets. The Sachems will now face unbeaten Wayland at a time and date to be determined.

Whipple winner

Junior Hannah Whipple remained calm under pressured and drilled the game-winning baseline jumper with 4.1 seconds left to send North Andover to a dramatic 48-46 win over Bishop Fenwick. The Knights overcame a 16-point halftime deficit, capped by Whipple's heroics. Caitlin Panos had 15 points and 3 threes in the win.

The Georgetown boys basketball team rallied from a 10-point fourth quarter deficit but fell in overtime to Bishop Fenwick 70-68. Hunter Lane poured in 33 points to lead the Royals, and Arlen Winer knocked down four 3-pointers on his way to 15 points.
